This was a chance for Simon and Volker to catch up with colleagues. We started think in more detail about research design for VET Africa 4.0. During our visit we also held a video conference call to allow some ‘virtual’ face-to-face introductions between the South African and Ugandan teams. Conceptual framing discussion at the REAL Centre, Witwatersrand, South Africa (Wednesday 27th March, 2019).

UK team visits Uganda – February 2019

Simon, Volker and Jo-Anna took their first trip to visit the project team at Gulu University in Uganda. For most of us, we were meeting each other for the first time. Jacques, David, George and the rest of the team were excellent hosts. This trip gave us the opportunity to visit case sites in both Gulu and Hoima, and to start working together on our conceptual framing for the project.
